I recently performed a radon test of my home and found it to be within appropriate range of mitigation. In researching a mitigation system and installer, I selected RadonCare because of their knowledge and their participation in the testing program that I had used. I can't say enough good things about RadonCare and the process. They took the time to explain the risk with radon, and how a mitigation system worked. They made sure I understood everything, and were very quick to turnaround an estimate/quote. Scheduling and installation was a breeze, they were done installation in less than a day. They do a very professional and clean install. I've since completed the first post-mitigation test and my radon levels are down massively. They're down past the Health Canada recommended levels, and are right where RadonCare said they could get most customers' homes to. I'm very pleased with my system, and the results. I would happily recommend RadonCare to anyone who needs this work done, they're fantastic.

I first heard about the risks of Radon in a radio ad, and decided to do some research online. Turns out it is quite a serious risk that many people are still unaware of.After requesting a quote from RadonCare, I got an on-site inspection from Andrew, who was friendly, knowledgeable, provided answers to all my questions and concerns, and gave me a breakdown on all the procedures needed to get the best results. The quoted price was well within my expectations, I decided to go with this company right there and then.The installation was done by Nick and his crew within a day. The basement was very clean after they left, and the Radon level started dropping right on that evening. The system draws out gas from two points in the ground, which relieves the workload of the fan. It makes with no noise at all, I can sit right next to it for hours and not hear a thing.They also work with the University of Calgary researchers and help gather data to raise awareness on the risks of Radon.I would recommend this company to anyone looking to install a Radon mitigation system in their home.

Amazing job and friendly staff, I learned a ton too. They were able to book me in very quickly and had my radon levels down significantly after a days worth of work. I was surprised at what they found for radon entry points and glad they sealed such a large gap. I was also concerned about coring another hole in the house but they were so quick and clean about it. An incredibly positive experience! Andrew and Nick were extremely professional and efficient with their work and extremely knowledgeable about radon and exposure. We're so happy that we went with RadonCare. We were instantly impressed with Andrew's knowledge, expertise and professionalism when he came to the house and gave us a quote. Andrew showed a genuine interest in mitigating radon and wanting to help people make their homes safe. He answered all of our questions in a really understandable and relatable way. On the day of the installation, Andrew was on time and did an amazing, thorough job on the mitigation system. He even took the time to patch and clean up cracks with mould in our basement. The resulting radon readings have been well below 30 Bq/m3 ever since the mitigation. What can feel like a stressful situation, really was made into a pleasant and satisfying experience by RadonCare. Andrew was very personable and knowledgable when he did our in home quote. (which was free!) The staff who came to install the mitigation system were also professional and polite which is very important for someone working in your house! We're pleased with the look of the system and according to the short term test it worked well! (The long term test was also included but isn't finished yet) I feel like we we received good value for what we paid, especially including the warranty. I'm really not good at writing reviews but I definitely recommend Radon Care for anyone who wants to get a mitigation done or even just wants information on radon levels and how it affects their health.

Before we had Radoncare mitigate our problem we didn't know much about Radon other than it was bad for us. Andrew and Nick were wonderful to work with. Both were patient with my endless questions. Very professional and quick to respond whenever we called with even more questions. Our initial one month readings were over 330. Within a week of the mitigation work, we have dropped down to around 30! We can breathe much easier now knowing this! The follow up service has also been excellent. Both Andrew and Nick are a wealth of knowledge and we highly recommend them to come in and make your house safe!!

I purchased a radon detector and contacted them a few times with questions about the radon issue. Although I didn’t have a level above the government regulated safety level, and so didn’t pursue re-mediation, they were still always willing to take time to answer my questions. Andrew is very helpful and there was no pressure to use their services. I would highly recommend them.

I had a great experience with the folks installing mitigation system in my basement. I think the best feeling you can get in working with a service provider is that you feel they are not after your money but truly want to solve your problem with the best quality of work and professionalism and that is exactly what I got. A high quality work was conducted to begin with and after that they made few visits and adjustment without me even asking to make sure that not only the radon levels are as low as possible but also I have the most suitable fan installed. Every word and promise that he made in his first visit was true and definitely beyond my expectations.

Andrew and his team at Radon Care were incredible to work with. After getting our monitoring results, I contacted Andrew about getting an assessment done and he was able to come by the very same day to give me a quote. His team went out of their way to have our mitigation work completed as soon as possible, which meant doing the work during the weekend when they didn't normally have jobs scheduled. We were grateful for this, as our radon levels were very high and we have a young child in our home. Andrew is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does and explained in detail what he was doing throughout his assessment and mitigation work. He went above and beyond to ensure he gave us the best quality solution, along with the guarantee that our radon rates would be significantly lower. Andrew and team did a great job at remediating our radon issue. It gives us such peace of mind to know our young daughter will not be exposed any longer. We were a bit hesitant to book this during COVID-19, however, the team was very diligent with taking on minimal clients and have a no cost cancellation policy in case either party has any symptoms. Although the service was fantastic and we're happy with the results, the price was a bit high compared to the competition.

I had RadonCare complete my mitigation in Evanston and I'm very pleased with the results. They even had Evict Radon from the U of C come out film the installation for an upcoming video. The system is quiet and has reduced my levels substantially. The crew explained my system and left me with short term and long term test kits to confirm the system works and the mechanical room is tidy too. Great service, great results.

Had a radon mitigation system installed by them about a month ago. After our 3 month test kit came back a little high. They did a fantastic job. Explained everything fully and even welcomed questions while they were working. System is very quiet and they sealed the air leaks in the basement so the system pulls the air from under the house and not from air in the house. Original reading before mitigation was 254 and is now steady at 15. I would highly recommend them.

I called and spoke to seven radon mitigation companies here in Calgary and requested quotes from several of them.RadonCare came out on top after doing all my research. It was their diagnostics, detailed description of how they were going to carry out their work and performance guarantee that put them on top.Andrew was engaging throughout the entire process, from our first phone call, face to face evaluation/quote and diagnosis/installation of radon mitigation equipment. We had participated in the U of C Radon study last winter. Our initial results were above the Health Canada limits. About (about 360 - 400 bq/m3) in basement using the Alpha Track detector. Before we decided to have the mitigation done had done quite a bit of research on the subject. Then purchased a digital radon detector online for about $225. Ran it for about a month and confirmed the readings on main floor as well. After mitigation now after 3 weeks reading is about 35 bq/m3 in the basement. At Andrew's recommendation we have another Alpha track tester that I will deploy in early December for confirmation. All in all very satisfied with the work that was performed and Radon levels well with acceptable norms.

I spoke with a few Radon mitigation services, Radon Care provided a highly detailed quote, a bit more than some but included some key pieces that i really liked, including a report demonstrating pre & post results of the work and installed a new filter section as they will also look at the flooring under furnace, which turned out to be a very good thing in my case.My Lv's were above 1000 prior and dropped to 14 after, so were able to alleviate all concerns and bring far below the Cda recommended max. The crew that came were very polite and informative, involved me throughout the process to explain what was happening, and cleaned up great after is was all done.Highly recommend, completely worth the price.

Staff was very professional, explained whenever I had doubt or questions. Basement was properly cleaned when they finished and left. I can barely hear the fan going on the first floor. I can only hear the fan when I'm in basement close to it, and I can hear the air flowing when I'm outside close to the vent, which isn't loud at all. I got a airthings wave to monitor the radon level real time. The level didn't drop in the first day which had me worried; however it started dropping and it's been at average 20bq/m3 ever since.

It was through watching those home improvement shows on HGTV is where I learned about Radon and how it can be very dangerous for your health. It prompted me to do some research on Radon and how to mitigate it properly. I simply googled radon removal and a few companies came up on the search and Radon Care was at the top (now I know why!). Anyways I filled out their form for a quote and waited for a response. It didn’t take long for Andrew to give me a call. He was very professional and extremely knowledgeable! We chatted for a bit and he took the time to address my needs. I received a quote from Andrew and I let him know that I’d have to think about it. Well fast forward four months later haha. I finally made the decision to have the mitigation system installed after doing a long term testing with the Airthings Corentium digital meter. My levels were not extremely high but it peaked at around 260 Bq/m3 and that’s more than the recommended “safe” limit of 200 Bq/m3 that the government of Canada suggests. So that was enough to push me to have this done.Andrew and his team came out November 17, 2020 to install the system. It was a BIG job! I was amazed that there was so much involved with the installation! The work was top notch and they were extremely neat and tidy. All the venting and piping was run parallel with my existing exhaust pipes and the entire system looked like it had been there all along. They cleaned up everything when the installation was complete and it was like they weren’t even there. Andrew and I chatted a bit after the install. He took the time to explain the system in detail and made sure that I understood everything. What really stuck out to me is how passionate he is about radon mitigation and how much he knows about Radon gas. I have had this system installed for less than 24 hours and I just checked the short term reading which was at 172 Bq/m3 yesterday and it is currently sitting at 86Bq/m3, that’s a drop of 50% in under 24 hours!So for those of you that are on the fence about radon mitigation that hopefully after you’ve read this review that you will give Andrew a call! Work is guaranteed for 5 years afterwards too! No need to shop around for a mitigation company, Radon care is the ONLY choice!

Thanks a ton to Andrew and the team at RadonCare for the help with reducing the radon levels in our basement. We spend quite a bit of time in the basement and even the levels we were seeing between 100-160 were enough to make me uncomfortable. I got quotes from RadonCare and one other highly rated radon mitigation company. Both were close on $, but RadonCare ended up having a more elegant solution design and the install went very well. Our radon levels are now averaging 20-25 four months after installation. Well worth the $ for the peace of mind. I highly recommend RadonCare.

I am very happy with the work Andrew and his team did last year for radon mitigation in my home. I went from ~250 Bq/m^3 down to ~20 on average now, confirmed with a long term test over the winter and with an Airthings sensor that I check through the year. Andrew was very helpful and answered all my questions through the install process. The system has been working without a hitch for almost a year now. I don't think you can go wrong with using RadonCare if you are in need of mitigation.

Cannot say enough about the service provided by RadonCare, while not the cheapest mitigation option the system they installed is superb and their warranties without compare. Plus they warned us about some issues with our dryer venting noticed while installing. They really go above and beyond while working with you, would give them more stars if I could!

Levels of radon in our basement went from approx 300-350 bi/m3 pre-installation to 20 bi/m3 to post installation. Although we have not done the 3-month test post-installation during the heavy winter months, we expect the same or similar outstanding results.Pros of RadonCare (not in any particular order):- Professional and very knowledgeable- They work together with U of C and are part of a large study. This further gives them credibility and a great academic source.- Answered all of my questions (and did so very well). Very patient with explanations until customer is entirely satisfied.- Punctual, fast working (entire installation took 8 hours)- Great guarantee on results (bi/m3). A written guarantee to meet the agreed standard of 100 bi/m3 in the worst three winter months (holds for 5 years, but unless fan fails, results should last 15+ years). Also a personal guarantee from one of the owners to get the levels as low as possible (if results had been high 90's, RadonCare would come back to improve the results). It was obvious that the owners take great pride in their work and it shows in their excellent customer service- Guarantee on the equipment for 5 years, with an expected lifetime of 15+ years. They used schedule 40 pipe, which is incredibly strong and durable. The only item that could fail is the fan itself.- Clean installation. Great attention to details.- At the end of the job, customer gets a full report will all details. This helps increase the value of the property and can be used in negotiation upon selling. Guarantee can be transferred to new home-owner.Cons:- Quoted about $100 more than another local competitor.- Financing options not great (high interest). Hopefully this will change as RadonCare grows in size and is able to take on higher risks associated with offering better financing options.Overall, I am very satisfied with their work and the final product. The extra $100 was well worth it. I could not recommend RadonCare enough to anyone considering radon mitigation.

They were most efficient during the project. Before we got the radon mitigated at our home (longer term average in the mid 200's but up to 400's at times), we reached out to 5 C-NRPP contractors around town for quotes. Radon Care were really stood out to us during the quoting phase. They weren't the cheapest, but we had an excellent experience during their quoting phase when they sent their lead technical, Andrew, to our place. He was super knowledgeable (one might even label him as a radon geek) and super personable.What I liked about their quote was value (not cheapest but value added). In addition to radon mitigation, they also rebalanced my house air pressure to ensure no unnecessary air is being drawn from underground and provided a 3 year transferable warranty that the radon levels would be less than 100 Bq/m3 (Health Canada's limit is 200 Bq/m3 and many other companies only guarantees to 200 Bq/m3 as well).The install took about 4 hours with a 2 man crew and they left the house air-balanced (I was shown the testing results on a meter and they flipped all my bathroom/hood/furnace/dryer fans on and off to confirm). Using my Airthing Wave tester, I saw immediate radon reductions from 200's to <10 Bq/m3 24 hours after installations.I'm really happy with my overall experience (including knowing the radon at my house has been taken care off) and highly recommend them to anyone.

Andrew was extremely helpful in the whole process. We have been monitoring our radon levels for a few years. They have ranged from 124-171 Bq/m3. It was when they reached 171 we decided to take action. The morning of mitigation the level was 158, happy to report that 12 days later we are now at 84. Thank you Andrew!! Update as of November 14, 2019 our radon reading is now 8Bq/m3

Andrew is the epitome of professionalism. The "lady of the house" was immensely impressed with his abundance of Radon knowledge and how he carefully and meticulously delivered the info. After his initial assessment of our 1940\'s little house on the prairie, he already had a plan (or two I\'m sure) even after stating how he loved challenges! I am not a pushover by any means; I process information as its being delivered to me; I am logical and rational, so to say I was sold almost immediately is really a stretch for me, but I was. I think we clicked right away, his pragmatic and clear approach of remedying our urgent situation was indeed gratifying, nary a hint of overselling or sensationalizing his business. We did get another quote just for the record, but I was already full in with Andrew. His crew as well were extremely professional, courteous, punctual, clean, clearly knew what they were doing. Andrew\'s follow-up, again, spot on professionalism. I will be (already have) be forwarding on his company for Radon Remediation to Black Diamond and Turner Valley residents. '

We recently had Andrew, Andrew, and Nick to our home for mitigation. ******** was apparently a "challenge". The guys arrived at 8 AM and didn't leave until 17:30. Despite that they were always professional, in good humour, and the initial quote was honoured without any change or addition. I would highly recommend this company. finding that we had a radon problem we set about finding a company to fix our problem. after obtaining quotes from 3 different companies there was no doubt we were going to go with Radon Care. Andrew impressed us with his knowledge of radon mitigation and was very accurate in his estimations of how different areas of our basement would react to the venting system installation. at the same time he pointed out deficiencies in our old house heating system and how it could be improved, as he has working knowledge of HVAC systems he was welcomed to fix that as well. we are very happy with the work that Andrew and Nick did in both installations, they work well together and the prices for both systems was very reasonable. having the University of Calgary involved in Radon awareness is a bonus as well, for us and the public that are unaware there is a problem. we highly recommend Radon Care.

I had a great experience with the folks installing mitigation system in my basement. I think the best feeling you can get in working with a service provider is that you feel they are not after your money but truly want to solve your problem with the best quality of work and professionalism and that is exactly what I got. A high quality work was conducted to begin with and after that they made few visits and adjustment without me even asking to make sure that not only the radon levels are as low as possible but also I have the most suitable fan installed. Every word and promise that he made in his first visit was true and definitely beyond my expectations

We had completed a home kit for radon measurement and found the level to be unacceptably high. We contacted Andrew at Radon Care in order for the company to provide us with a quote for mitigation. During the initial visit, Andrew explained the process in detail, examined the area for the installation of the equipment, the basement floor the outdoor venting. and provided us with a quote. We were impressed that his company was working in partnership with the University of Calgary regarding radon in Alberta. After obtaining information and quotes from other companies, we decided that, while others were adequate, Radon Care stood out. Andrew and Nick arrived on time, and quickly and efficiently completed the job. We are very pleased with their work ethic and professionalism. I would recommend Andrew and Nick any day. Well Done!

Andrew was extremely helpful in the whole process. We have been monitoring our radon levels for a few years. They have ranged from ******* *****. It was when they reached *** we decided to take action. The morning of mitigation the level was ***, happy to report that as of November 14, 2019 our radon reading is now ******. I had RadonCare complete my mitigation in Evanston and I'm very pleased with the results. They even had Evict Radon from the U of C come out film the installation for an upcoming video. The system is quiet and has reduced my levels substantially. The crew explained my system and left me with short term and long term test kits to confirm the system works and the mechanical room is tidy too. Great service, great results.
