Some Mitigations Need A Bit More Sealing...
Our mitigation packages include all the sealing necessary to create the most efficient radon mitigation system possible. RadonCare mitigations often include sealing under the bathtub, floor cracks, floor-to-wall joints, sump pit, underneath the stairs or beneath the furnace.
Hanging Furnaces
A building process known as a "hanging furnace" common in Southern Alberta can increase the likelihood of radon entering into the home - sometimes with higher levels on second floors and higher. As you can see in these photos, the open area without concrete exposes the aggregate below the home and allows radon and other soil gases to enter the home along with humidity and bugs.
