While our specialty remains radon, we also carry a complete line of products which hold up to our very high standards to improve air quality. As a response to our clients concerns with other air contaminants such as volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), C02, smoke, and odors, we have expanded our offering of air filtration products to include Amaircare HEPA filtration products.
RadonCare is Alberta's authorized dealer of Amaircare HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance) filtration products. Amaircare products offer superior air filtration compared to the competition. Lab results show these filters can remove nearly 100% of contaminants of 0.3 microns and over as well as an impressive 95% of microscopic particles as small as 0.1 microns.
These devices may also be used in conjunction with a radon mitigation system to further lower Alpha radiation exposure. While no filtration device can remove radon gas itself, our air filtration systems can reduce radon decay product concentration, also referred to as Working Level, and thus reduce equivalent dose exposure in the lungs. As a radon reduction system, these products should be used together with a radon exhaust system and not as a standalone solution as in real world applications the effectiveness of reducing overall Alpha radiation exposure through particulate filtration may be insufficient.

We have received a number of inquiries as to the effectiveness of our air filtration products in preventing COVID-19.
While at this time we have no specific data on the effectiveness of these systems on COVID-19 itself, our air filtration products have been shown through previous lab studies to remove up to 95% of particles at 0.1 micron. Human coronaviruses measure between 0.1 and 0.2 microns with COVID-19 sitting around the middle of that range.
These HEPA air filters are at least as impermeable to COVID-19 as the N-95 respirator masks recommended for health care workers.
Whole Home Protection
Amaircare filtration systems offer whole home protection. While stand-alone units are available we recommend the superior protection of direct pipe installation, tied into the home's existing HVAC system(s).
Customizable Filters
Optional VOC canisters can be included with all our systems to remove Volatile Organic Compounds (organic chemical compounds in the gaseous phase), which may emanate from certain household finishes and paints.
